The Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA), serving over 100,000 hockey players across 225 associations in Ontario and FlipGive, a Toronto-based free fundraising platform used by thousands of sports teams, schools and community causes across North America, have partnered to help make the next season of hockey more affordable for all parents.
FlipGive is a free team funding platform that allows teams to invite parents and supporters such as grandparents to earn cash back for online shopping and gift card purchases to help with an eventual return to sport. In 2019, over 3500 hockey teams in Ontario raised nearly $1.2M dollars on FlipGive, and with this partnership hope to bring a modern and simple fundraising solution to every hockey association and team in Ontario. Parents can start earning in the pre-season with weekly spending with favourite brands in groceries, gas, coffee, hockey equipment purchases and online shopping.
